Resistance to ageing

A long term evaluation of a high density URETEK material indicates a long term design life of at least 33 years. On-going testing is indicating an extended design life well beyond this period. This is also typical of other studies provided both independently and by major raw materials suppliers indicating long term stability and durability even in unfavourable environments.

Hanover University testing summary

A quantitative assessment of the thermal stability in the form of dynamic weight loss was carried out using differential thermal analysis.

It is expected that service life of composite pipes with E165- Caradate 30 rigid URETEK material, and tested in accordance with the research report, will be 30 years, at a continuous permissible temperature of 133°C (+ or – 2).
