Uretek corrects wharves, seawalls and weirs fast!
Uretek raises, relevels and resupports seaports: dockside facilities, crane rails, wharf slabs etc.
Because they must operate around the clock, Seaport Facility Managers depend on Uretek to correct problems fast, with zero disruption to operations.
All Uretek equipment and materials are contained in one truck and one confined section at a time can be corrected completely by a specialist team. Finished areas are often back in use just 30 minutes after the works area is vacated.
Seaport pavements - concrete, asphalt and brick - are frequently subjected to huge, almost point-loading, from straddle carriers and enormous 60 tonne forklifts carrying 40 tonne containers!
Uretek has a breadth of experience with wharves, seawalls and weirs
Uretek work at docks has included hardstanding stabilisation and relevelling and re-establishing surface falls towards drains.
Uretek has also carried out the correction of subsiding wharves, warehouses and office buildings and relevelling of seaport crane rails, as well as replacement of sub-base eroded by leaking drains.
Patented Uretek Deep Injection technology has been employed to increase the bearing capacity of wharf foundations to meet increased surface loadings.
Seawalls and weirs can be consolidated quickly by Uretek injection
Uretek structural resin is injected to fill voids and return the structural integrity. Future erosion is also limited by this method of greatly reducing water ingress. Massive reduction of water loss by weirs has been posssible by Uretek being used in this way.
Under the principal dock warehouse at Townsville, Queensland, voids created by 3.5 metre tides were filled to stabilise the deteriorating floor.
