Embankment Compacted and Machinery Recovered
One client had a 2 metre diameter tunnel borer stuck in collapsing soils under a railway embankment of Queensland's main Western railway line. Uretek successfully stabilised the ground by Deep Injection to forming a virtual-arch around the machine, which allowed recovery and completion of our client's culvert contract.
Transmission Tower Stabilised
Another Queensland client had several 33,000 volt transmission towers potentially unstable due to unexpected soil conditions. Uretek conglomerated the non-cohesive soils down to 5 metres, to withstand the lateral forces of wind on poles and aerials. A very similar job was done recently to rectify transmission towers by our team in Thailand.
Sheet Piling Sealed
Yet another client was faced with water gushing through driven sheet piling. Uretek sealed the leaks 14 metres below water table.
Culvert Joints Sealed
Working to seal joints in an 80 metre long, man accessible culvert on the Johnstone River, in far northern Queensland, required a crocodile sharpshooter!
