Filling Seawall Voids
To fill voids behind or within seawalls the Uretek company uses either Uretek resin for its great strength or Benefil for its great economy and its permeability allowing the escape of ground water.
With Benefil engineering filler/grout many problems can be solved: not only filling voids behind and inside seawalls, but also a variety of similar void filling situations - including manholes, underground fuel tanks, pipelines etc.
Benefil offers some unique advantages because of its super-light weight, economy, resistance to hydrocarbons, solvents and other chemicals and its ability to be pumped over long distances. Site access problems are alleviated.
Seawall Voids are filled quickly & economically.
Behind seawalls, Benefil displaces water to correct scouring or the loss of fines due to tidal ‘lag'.
Compared to cement grout which can flow away and pollute and later simply funnel water elsewhere, Benefil does not run: it encapsulates rubble, floats & later allows filtered passage of water.
Benefil is harmless to the environment. Clean Benefil can be recycled or used as landfill.
Uretek resin may be used in seawalls and rock weirs etc to fill voids and bind the rocks together. Your Uretek Project Manager can guide you as to the choice of resin and application.
