Fill Underground Tanks

Filling abandoned underground fuel tanks safely and economically. 

For this purpose the Uretek Company often uses Benefil, the super light-weight engineering filler/grout.

With Benefil many problems can be solved: not only filling underground fuel tanks, but also a variety of similar void filling situations - including pipelines, manholes, voids behind seawalls etc.

Benefil offers some unique advantages because of its super-light-weight, economy, resistance to hydrocarbons, solvents and other chemicals and its ability to be pumped over long distances.

Problems with access to tank sites are alleviated; and Benefil is harmless to the environment.

In less than an hour fuel tanks that are being taken out of use are made safe.

Benefil absorbs any residual hydro carbons making tanks safe from explosion and adds little appreciable weight.

So tanks can later be removed, transported whole and cut up safely. Clean Benefil can be recycled or used as landfill.

PIPELINES ALSO

Expanded Benefil is unique for filling abandoned pipelines and conduits: it can be induced to travel well in excess of 100 metres.

Pipes can be filled uphill or downhill; it makes no difference - Benefil won't run out! Pipelines can be filled this way even if only one end is accessible.
