Deep Injection

Uretek Deep Injection is the modern, fast & cost effective alternative to piling & underpinning. 

Uretek Deep Injection can compact weak strata to greatly increase foundation ground support.

In weak strata and suitable conditions, patented Uretek Deep Injection can strengthen ground bearing capacity by up to 500%. And as deep as 12 metres down!

Foundation can often be improved continuously down to considerable depths - or at just one specific depth - by injection of a controlled quantity of Uretek’s expanding DI resin, through small injection tubes that are installed to predetermined depths.

DEEP INJECTION COMPACTS FOUNDATION GROUND.

The expanding resin force first compresses the surrounding soil until it can no longer be resisted by the counter-force of the structure and soil mass above and the friction angle of the soil.  At the precise moment the structure begins to lift, monitored by laser, injection is halted, leaving a foundation with a considerable factor of safety.

The procedure benefits from the properties of patented Uretek Geoplus DI resin, meaning that controlled forces of up to 10,000 kPa are available.

Uretek Deep Injection is often used in conjunction with Uretek Slab Lifting, to relevel a structure after ground improvement.

Penetrometer  Testing

Investigation by the client’s geotechnical engineer can predetermine ground suitability, weak strata and injection depths. Alternatively our Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) may be used to establish the weaker layers of the foundation soils.

Whilst not normally the test for sufficient compaction, a DCP may also be used afterwards, as an indication of the extent of improvement.
