Uretek work includes a wide variety of challenges: re-levelling dockside crane rails, hardstand stabilisation and re-establishing surface falls towards drains.

It has also encompassed correction of subsiding buildings as well as replacement of sub-base eroded by leaking drains. Council swimming pools sometimes need to be re-levelled.


Seawalls and weirs can need re-consolidation, withtough Uretek resins filling voids and sealing leaks.

One Queensland client had several 33,000 volt transmission poles potentially unstable due to the unexpected soil conditions. Uretek conglomerated the non-cohesive soils, down to 5 metres, to withstand the lateral forces of wind on poles and aerials.


Another client was faced with water gushing through driven sheet piling. Uretek sealed the leaks 14 metres below the water table.

Uretek expanding resin injection is the modern alternative to mud jacking and concrete underpinning. 

We also raise, relevel and resupport sunken or mis-aligned road anchors, concrete slabs, floors, bridge approach slabs, culvert areas, driveways, parking areas, heritage buildings etc.

  • Uretek unique, structural expanding resin is injected through small (16 mm diam.) holes.
  • Uretek is fast and clean - no excavation, no water, no cement dust and no mess, unlike old fashioned concrete mud jacking and concrete underpinning.
  • Under pavements subject to heavy dynamic loads, Uretek tends to flex instead of breaking up, unlike concrete mud jacking.
  • There are usually substantial cost savings over those old-fashioned methods.
  • Weight is no problem: ground can be compacted more with greater weight on it! For instance when relevelling and resupporting railway bridges we prefer that a heavy train engine be placed on the rails above! Huge ground support can be created by Uretek, especially when the area is loaded with weight.

Relevelling Road Slabs, Bridge Approaches and Culverts

  • Uretek offers much experience relevelling and resupporting slabs on major highways, suburban roads, toll plazas and parking areas.
  • Bridge abutment slabs are raised by Uretek Slab Lifting and then deeper ground is compacted by Uretek Deep Injection for long term support.
  • Uretek culvert treatment is unique: the road pavement is relevelled, the fill around the culvert is compacted by Deep Injection and the culverts are sealed against further leakage of fines. A thorough, long-lasting solution.
